About Palm Oil
Palm oil is the world's most widely produced vegetable oil. In South-East Asia it is an important cooking-oil for most people. In Europe it is an ingredient in approximately half of all packaged goods such as shampoo, margarine, fish fingers, detergent, soap and ice cream. The production of palm oil (which comes from the oil palm fruit), however, has come under scrutiny for some time now. There are social and economic challenges facing the industry as well as significant environmental issues. Today's consumers are increasingly aware of this and expect their favorite brands to take responsibility. With a certification and traceability system in place, the journey has begun towards achieving a fully sustainable supply chain for the world's palm oil industry.

UTZ CERTIFIED (UTZ) has decreased its transaction fee for RSPO-certified palm oil products to 2 US$. Users of the UTZ traceability system will now pay a transaction fee of 2
US$ per metric ton for traceability services.

Good Insideは第５回持続可能なパーム油のための円卓会議(RT5)において展望を提示しました。いくつかのサプライチェーンモデルを示し、各モデルに対してGood Insideがどのように付加価値を付けることができるのかを説明しました。その一部は 短編アニメフィルムを用い、パーム油のサプライチェーンのためのMass Balance オプションを具体的に視覚化しました。
2008年第１四半期
パーム油のトレーサビリティシステム開発の最終段階に入っています。このシステムはサプライチェーンを通してRSPO認証システムを実用的にサポートすることを目的としています。
